Below are two scenarios that you might possibly find yourself in when traipsing across Fantasyland. Answer as best as you can with the knowledge that you have. Shoot for 50 words minimum per question.

J.K. Rowling devised several magical systems in Harry Potter. Identify TWO (2) different systems of magic in the wizarding world and tell me about them. Minimum 100 words total (or 50 words each magical system).
Magical Systems (20 points) - 2 points each
I've alluded to ten books/series that function on different magical systems. Below are TEN (10) detailed descriptions of a magical system in each book/series. Using the list in the lesson, identify the magical system described (i.e. Elemental, Inherent Gift, etc.). Note: Some descriptions point to more than one system, but you only need to identify one.

- You've landed in a Fantasyland that follows a variation of the Elemental Magic system. After some lengthy observation, you notice that the elements themselves do not follow the typical four-element rule of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. How did you come by this reasoning?
- Unfortunately, you and your crew have incited the anger of a necromancer, who summons dark skeletons to chase you across his property. You know that the necromancer's magic is limited to the surrounding lands, and once you cross the river the skeletons will no longer be able to touch you. The problem is there's no bridge. Assuming you have some sort of magic, how do you go about escaping the army of skeletons?

- Tom Riddle murdered several people in order to make all of his Horcruxes.
- Sparrowhawk kept his true name secret he did not want others to take control of him.
- Because Percy is the halfling son of Poseidon, it stands to chance that he has some control over the sea god's domain.
- While Gracelings are discernible through their mismatched eye colors, it is much harder to determine what skill they were born with unless you see it in play.
- Daine never imagined she could raise animals from the dead, but with the help of a vengeful goddess, her magic opened up new possibilities.
- In exchange for the power of foresight, the seers of Dal are permanently blind.

A) The Ways of Magic - As I've said before, there are many different types of magical systems, some of them interweaving with other systems. Find another type of magical system that I haven't already talked about in the lesson. Tell me about it. Does it overlap any of the systems already mentioned? Where have you seen this magic system utilized? 300 words minimum.
B) Symbologies - In more developed Fantasylands, magical systems tend to have their own set of symbols (like Charter Magic and Allomancy). Find a magical system in any fantasy medium and illustrate the symbols of that magic system. Provide a link of the uploaded image.
C) Burst of Magic - Below are TEN (10) scenarios in which a particular individual has used magic. From the clues given, determine what type of magic system he or she utilized. Each scenario is worth 3 points.

the uncertainty of it all. It's probably why she'd gone mad.
- The injury was serious, and it took all of his energy in
order to rid the body of infection.
- She drew several lines in the sand. "Step inside and
you will be protected," she said.
- Only a skilled mage could cross that water without
getting his feet wet.
- The princess's bloodline was strong; it was obvious by how much mastery she had in speaking with horses.
